Mikael very often leaves out the rubber legs, in fact for him rubber legs seem to attract the sea trout more than the salmon.

In the biggest sizes, we tie in an extra wing between the body halves. One of our coolest patterns!

He did not have to - the salmon took Mikael down through the pools almost a kilometer before they could land it - it weighted over 40 lbs. A super fly for dusk and dawn. A discrete greenish fly that now is the absolute favourite of some of our closest friends.

If you have problems to catch fish on cold or high water, you should try Spintube Leech. With this spin fly you can catch even those pickiest rainbow trout, trout, perch and grayling from the bottom. You have to get the lure to swim very slow and temptingly during cold water. Spintube Leech is a weighted tube fly that you can cast with general spinning combo. Lead free body is made of brass and is weighted so that it swims always in a certain position. So if you want to prevent hook from sticking to the bottom you should turn the hook upward. Spintube Leech is made of lively material which makes the fly very effective especially when fishing on cold or flooded water.

The Banana Fly concept has been popular ever since Micke Andersson showed the world how good the dirty yellow fly could be. For Mikael personally he fished his Scott and Moonshine flies long before he created this version. We tinted it to the olive side and pimped it a bit classic style with the dyed teal hackle. We prefer to fish this in the humus coloured river when we need a discrete fly to stand out a bit more than my overall favourite Pahtakorva. We seldom fish them bigger than 10 cm or smaller than 4, for us it’s a medium sized fly.

This little special fly got its name from the white powerful hunter in the north. Nanook is a clear water fly. Mikael very often vary his sunshine flies from light blue to light green. In this pattern, we mixed the colours and got a nice sunshine fly that works well in both the greenish and bluish river. This fly has been in Mikael’s box since the late 80’s.

We put the yellow under the black - made it swim with soft materials and suddenly the old Icelandic Black Sheep turned into an even better fly. A super standard for cloudy days. This is one of the patterns that we seldom fish in bigger sizes, it’s quite the opposite, the smaller it is the more fish we catch on them.

In fact, Mikael would say that together with the black simple fly it’s the one he prefers for most of his surface fishing. We fish them from small to medium size, meaning from 2-4 cm. We always try to use a light single hook.

Mikael very often leaves out the rubber legs, in fact for him rubber legs seem to attract the sea trout more than the salmon.

For Mikael personally he fished his Scott and Moonshine flies long before he created this version. We tinted it to the olive side and pimped it a bit classic style with the dyed teal hackle. We prefer to fish this in the humus coloured river when we need a discrete fly to stand out a bit more than my overall favourite Pahtakorva. We seldom fish them bigger than 10 cm or smaller than 4, for us it’s a medium sized fly.

The Henley series provides anglers with the ultimate weapon for the clearest waters and the spookiest fish on the planet. We prefer it on a cloudy day and varying the steering tube to fl. orange or fl. yellow FITS from black and it will work in a bit more coloured water. Add a gold hook and you have a fly for quite murky conditions. A super fly in many rivers.

This is one of my absolute favorites for clear water cloudy days, or in the dawn or dusk wherever you fish. The Black & Silver has saved many fishing days. I fish them in all sizes, down to the tiniest little sparsely dressed version.

Lead free body is made of brass and is weighted so that it swims always in a certain position. So if you want to prevent hook from sticking to the bottom you should turn the hook upward. It got its name from The Nedre Sierra Pool on the Alta where it has taken a few fat ones. We love this fly, one we think is beautiful and that works so well in the humus colour. We fish it often in medium sizes down to 4 cm.

This is a favourite sunshine fly. When the river is turning blue it’s unbeatable, but it’s also great in crystal clear rivers. To make the fly blend in is important especially on the clear day in clear water. This is a fly that works great in the spring too, a big flashy Sillen is a superb cold-water weapon as long as the water is clear. We fish this favourite fly in all sizes down to just a few mm.

Secure the loose hook with FITS tubing in S or XS. A true old favourite of ours. BGH has been in the boxes more than 25 years now and given us many memorable salmon. Black and chartreuse colours are as classic for clear waters as orange and brown for slightly coloured. We love that greenish water, Litza, Gaula, Aa, Laerdal and in many, many other rivers black and green flies out fish the most. Even in this small version it’s a great standard fly to fish maybe specially on that cloudy summer day.

Sometimes I even fish it with the traditional black and white Samurai wing, but the brown harmonizes so good with the humus colour of many rivers. A “Pahta Samurai” – the best of two worlds!

The British standard classic with its fantastic colour combination - here in a softer even deadlier version - a must in the box. We vary it a bit regarding to water colour. When more colour we do the orange tubing and the gold cone. Over all a fly that works in many places. For salmon, we fish it mostly without the rubber legs, even if they do give the fly extra sound.

Hamilton was born a night on the Alta, on the Barilla beat. Mikael had a couple nice big fish on this special fly, down in the tail at “Hamilton”. Ever since it has proven to be a great over all favourite for daytime fishing in any water colour. The black and yellow fly has been classic ever since the days of the Jock Scott. We fish it most often in medium sizes.

Sometimes we vary the hackle and put the orange grizzly to the front and sometimes we use that orange metallic coloured cone, nevertheless in any shape it’s just a fantastic little fly.

We just love that classic black & yellow colour combination. Dee Sheep has been a tremendous success with thousands of salmon on its conscience. The slim fast Samurai version has only been fished a couple of years but oh boy how it works. On a few of last years trips it gave us all fish, all!
