Vad kommer vetenskapsmän i framtiden att säga när de ser tillbaka på vår tid? Jo, att de flesta av oss led av en besvärande okunnighet. Okunnighet om medvetandets ursprung, okunnighet om vad människan är och vad meningen med tillvaron är. Och de kommer att visa att denna okunnighet var grundorsaken till det mesta av allt lidande som drabbade deras olyckliga förfäder.
