Patientens Bästa - En Kritisk Introduktion Till Läkaretiken
Medicinsk-etiska frågor återkommer ofta i den offentliga debatten eftersom de är avgörande för både vårdens praktiska inriktning och även hur vi ser, mer teoretiskt, på människolivets värde. I Patientens bästa argumenterar Axel Carlberg för att reflektionen kring dessa frågor bör utgå ifrån en "närhetsprincip", det vill säga en djupare förståelse av patient-läkare-relationen och de moraliska förpliktelser som läkaren har gentemot patienten. Den medicinska etiken bör först och främst bottna i en tydlig läkaretik. I sin diskussion resonerar Carlberg kring läkaretikens grunder, sambandet mellan läkekonstens vetenskapliga metod och etiska förhållningssätt, patientens identitet och etikens roll. I boken framträder bilden av ett nytt ledarskap som är mer avstämt med dagens utmaningar och etikens krav. Axel Carlberg är doktor i etik vid Lunds universitet. Han är verksam som coach, facilitator och ledarskapsutbildare inom MiL Institute. Han är också aktiv i olika europeiska forskningsnätverk som etisk rådgivare och expert.
