Mother Tree

Mother Tree

In this book a mother tree explains to her baby tree their place in the forest. The little tree is similar to a toddler, with never-ending 'why' questions. A twist on the fact that trees speak to one another underground. A specialized fungal network called mycelium wraps around the tree roots and connects the trees to each other, thus sharing resources and nutrients back and forth between them. Hence speaking to one another about what they need to survive. Trees help each other in the ecosystem.
