Tonsättaren Adolf Fredrik Lindblad vistades 1825 till 1827 i Berlin där han blev vän med Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy. De brevväxlade fram till Mendelssohns död 1847. I breven diskuterar de musik, musiklivet och sina levnadsöden.Eva Öhrström är musikforskare och professor emeritus från Kungliga Musikhögskolan i Stockholm. Hennes forskning har främst kretsat kring 1800-talets musikhistoria.Der Komponist Adolf Fredrik Lindblad studierte von 1825 bis 1827 in Berlin, wo er Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy kennenlernte. Ihr Briefwechsel begann damit und hielt bis zum Tode Mendelssohns 1847 an. In in ihren Briefen tauschten sie sich über Musik, das Musikleben in verschiedenen Ländern und ihre Lebenserfahrungen aus.Eva Öhrström ist Musikwissenschaftlerin und Professor emerita der Königlichen Musikhochschule in Stockholm. Ihre Forschung hat sie hauptsächlich der Musikgeschichte des 19. Jahrhunderts gewidmet.
