Agne Högstedts bilderbok, Circus Dahl, har nog delvis fallit i glömska. Men den är en påminnelse om en svunnen epok i flygvapnets historia. Boken gavs ut i slutet av november 1940. Nu har Göran Westerlund sett till att boken kan ges ut på nytt och han har skrivit en inledning till den nya utgåvan. Agne Högstedt påbörjade sin bok vid tiden i reservflygskolan. Han liknade flygutbildningen vid en cirkus och döpte boken efter flygchefen. Han använde signaturen Flygstedt under sina bilder. 1941 deltog Agne i den dittills största manöver som genomförts i norra Sverige. När han skulle genomföra en enskild navigeringsflygning med fotografering och spaning mot markgrupper kom han in i tät dimma och förlorade möjligheten att bedöma flyghöjden. Han omkom när högra vingen slog i marken och flygplanet havererade. Brodern Arne annonserade 1941 ut restupplagan av boken i Flygtidningen. "Boken kostar kr. 12:50 och är mer än väl värd detta pris då den är ett värdigt dokument över svenskt flygs störste tecknare", stod det i annonsen.
