Framgångarna för Rival Sons är ett exempel på det och att höra The Temperance Movements låtar pekar åt det hållet fast mer moget och ännu mer musikaliskt. Samtidigt finns det i musiken nästan samma andliga känsla som Israel Nash Gripka och Deadman skämt bort oss med mixat med boogien och svänget från klassband som AC/DC och Black Crowes. Digipack.Nåväl, om nu själen skulle ha en vikt så vet jag att själen hos brittiska The Temperance Movement är betydligt tyngre än så. Där kan vi snacka soul, främst manifesterat i sångaren Phil Campbells röst. Men det är inget revolutionerande över det här bandet. Gammal hederlig bluesrock som tidigare byggts upp, förvaltats och förfinats av band som Rolling Stones, Free ochFaces, och uppblandat med liten dos americana. Inget nytt under solen alltså. Om det nu inte vore för att det faktiskt är så förbannat bra. Från det inledande riffet i "Only Friend" till avslutande hymnen "Serenity". Sången har jag redan nämnt. Lägg därtill gitarristerna Luke Potashnick och Paul Sayers fantastiska samspel där ingen går i vägen för den andre och de spelar knappt någonsin samma grej. Och så vilar allt på en bastant grund i form av basisten Nick Fyffe (ex-Jamiroquai) och trummisen Damon Wilson (Ray Davies, The Waterboys och Feeder).
