På Aldous Hardings tredje album har hon låtit kreativiteten flöda samt välkomnat ett mer popinfluerat sound som inte hördes lika tydligt på den kritikerhyllad föregångaren "Party". Sommaren 2018 åkte hon hem till Nya Zeeland med helt nyskrivna låtar efter en lång turné som tagit henne runt hela världen. Tillsammans med producenten John Parish, som även var med och producerade Party, spenderar de en månad med att spela in den nya musiken i Rockfield Studios i Monmouth samt J&J Studio i Bristol. Den starka öppningslåten "Fixture Picture" visar tydligt på hur Harding har växt inom sitt låtskrivande och med hjälp av musikerna Huw Evans (H. Hawkline), Stephen Black (Sweet Baboo), trummisen Gwion Llewelyn och violinisten Clare MacTaggart breddas och utvecklas hennes speciella folkpopsound på "Designer".

Hoarding Memory looks at the ways the stories of the Algerian War (1954–62) have proliferated among the former French citizens of Algeria. By engaging hoarding as a model, Amy L. Hubbell demonstrates the simultaneously productive and destructive nature of clinging to memory. These memories present massive amounts of material, akin to the stored objects in a hoarder’s house. Through analysis of fiction, autobiography, art, and history that extensively use collecting, layering, and repetition to address painful war memories, Hubbell shows trauma can be hidden within its own representation.
