Böcker och vandringar av Vilhelm Ekelund gavs ut första gången 1910. Det är en samling lyriska texter och verser, de flesta skrivna under åren i Berlin. Vilhelm Ekelund [1880-1949] tillhör de stora svenska författarna. Han debuterade med diktsamlingen Vårbris 1900. Utöver lyrik skrev han även betydelsefulla essä- och aforismsamlingar. Ekelund tilldelades tilldelades Samfundet De Nios Stora Pris två gånger och 1937 blev han hedersdoktor vid Lunds universitet.
