Dioptern på MSN-202 är 32 vilket rent tekniskt ger 32x mer makro. Det faktiska resultatet beror dock på fler faktorer, bland annat kamerans objektiv och dess närgräns samt storleken på kamerans sensor. Vad man lite förenklat kan säga är att Raynox MSN-505 ger extremt mycket makro. Raynox MSN-505 är enkel att monteraFörpackningen innehåller en makrolins och en universalhållare. Makrolinsen har 37 mm anslutningsgänga och kan således monteras direkt på alla kameror med 37 mm filtergänga. Med stepringar kan linsen monteras på kameror med andra filtergängor. Universalhållaren är av typen "snap-on", två griparmar som tar tag i kamerans filtergänga och hålls fast, som kan monteras på kameror från 52 till 67 mm filtergänga.
