Stiftelsen Pro Artibus inleder en ny bokserie om finlandssvenska modernister med ett tvåspråkigt (svenska, finska) verk om textilkonstnären UHRABEATA SIMBERG-EHRSTRÖM (1914-1979). Simberg-Ehrström är en av de kändaste finländska textilkonstnärerna. Speciellt hennes ryor är världsberömda. Hon prisbelöntes i fyra Milano-triennaler i rad åren 1951, 1954, 1957 och 1960. Därutöver representerade hon Finland i den legendariska världsutställningen i Montreal år 1967 och prisbelöntes för sin rya Skog. Simberg-Ehrström verkade från år 1937 som modellplanerare vid Finska Handarbetets Vänner, och planerade brukstextilier för bl.a. Ab Inhemsk Ull och Tampella. Hon är känd för sitt legendariska färgsinne och färgvärlden i hennes ryor är extraordinär. Pro Artibus arrangerade i Ekenäs i början av år 2016 den första separatutställningen av Simberg-Ehrström sedan år 1980. Sommaren 2016 visades utställningen i Vasa.
