Classic situations is when you fish in front of a cliff, a steep hill or trees. It is also perfect for situations where you want to fish off a stretch of water close to shore. The head is rather compact with a steep front taper, that will help making good turnovers even in crazy winds. When I prefer a decent size hitch on the very clear river this is my choice. I fish it square and sometimes pull it across. On the clear river the fish like the fast fly, or they will see it too long. Be prepared – the takes will be memorable for sure.

The brown bomber is the most common one, the one most people fish and catch fish on. When we say brown it also includes the dark grey common versions. Perhaps the brown or natural grey is best on clear rivers. We prefer the brown on the dark cloudy day when it blends in best. Sometimes we fish an orange/brown one, that has proven to be good on humus conditions.
