As the old timey mass-issue military gear makers we are we don’t really fit in with those cool kids. Instead, we decided to make a perfectly adequate and sensibly priced belt suitable for the sort of stuff the majority of military users need their belt for. The awesome thing about this belt is how ”good enough” it is, in the best sense of the expression. The body of the belt is made from three layers of webbing, bartacked together to form PALS compatible channels for pouch attachment. The middle layer is extra thick and stiff stuff, giving the belt the rigidity needed to carry a pistol holster etc. Note that this is not a stiff-as-steel competition shooters belts, nor intended to be one. The construction is sturdy, but still somewhat pliable. Although fully useable stand-alone, we recommend adding a suitable belt pad and/or harness when carrying heavier loads. Adjustments are done using the buckle, with no hook-and-loop involved. The belt comes standard with a 2M FDR buckle. This is a good quality PA 6 plastic SR buckle, contoured to work nicely on a belt and truly good enough for most users. The buckle is very easy to replace with an AustriAlpin Cobra or such if you want to. The adjustable webbing ends have pieces of One-Wrap to roll and secure them. If you truly hate using One-Wrap you can just use tape or get some of our elastic strap keepers instead. As the old timey mass-issue military gear makers we are we don’t really fit in with those cool kids. Instead, we decided to make a perfectly adequate and sensibly priced belt suitable for the sort of stuff the majority of military users need their belt for. The awesome thing about this belt is how ”good enough” it is, in the best sense of the expression. The body of the belt is made from three layers of webbing, bartacked together to form PALS compatible channels for pouch attachment. The middle layer is extra thick and stiff stuff, giving the belt the rigidity needed to carry a pistol holster etc. Note that this is not a stiff-as-steel competition shooters belts, nor intended to be one. The construction is sturdy, but still somewhat pliable. Although fully useable stand-alone, we recommend adding a suitable belt pad and/or harness when carrying heavier loads. Adjustments are done using the buckle, with no hook-and-loop involved. The belt comes standard with a 2M FDR buckle. This is a good quality PA 6 plastic SR buckle, contoured to work nicely on a belt and truly good enough for most users. The buckle is very easy to replace with an AustriAlpin Cobra or such if you want to. The adjustable webbing ends have pieces of One-Wrap to roll and secure them. If you truly hate using One-Wrap you can just use tape or get some of our elastic strap keepers instead. PS: comes with a ~40 cm long piece of elastic cord, used to secure the bundled up belt and attach the product tag. Don’t throw this away, use it to craft something clever, such as elastic attachment loops for a harness! Lansky Sharpeners Lansky Folding Diamond Tapered Sharpening Rod
Sharpens regular and SERRATED blades, fish hooks, gut hooks, and many other tools. The fine (600 grit) tapered rod folds into the ergonomic nylon impregnated plastic handle for protection and ease of carrying. The American made Lansky Tapered Diamond Rod is ideal for every workshop. Renown for their hardness, diamonds are an excellent abrasive for the fast reconditioning and maintenance of all your various tools and knives. Steps: Begin by opening the plastic handles. Lock the handles together for safe use. To sharpen a knife, hold the sharpener handles firmly in one hand and the knife in the other. Place the end of the sharpener on a stable surface. Draw the knife edge down the rod at the proper angle, as if you were attempting to slice a thin layer off the rod. Repeat this motion 3 – 4 times using light to moderate pressure. Maintain a consistent angle for the best results. Switch to the other side of the blade's edge and repeat the sharpening process to finish the edge. Sharpening Serrations: Sharpen one serration at a time. Hold your knife firmly in one hand and bring the tapered rod to an individual serration, as shown in the photo. Match the serration’s angle with the tapered rod while pulling the sharpener against the serration. Repeat this motion until the serration is sharp, then move on to the next serration. When you have finished sharpening each serration, bring the tapered rod to the opposite side of the serrated section, hold the rod flat along the flat grind and remove any burs that may have been created by sharpening. Do not use lubrication of any kind while using diamond sharpeners. Note: Do not apply oil to Lansky Diamond surface: clean diamond hones with water and wipe shavings away with a lint-free rag. Diamond hones should be completely dry before next use.

As the old timey mass-issue military gear makers we are we don’t really fit in with those cool kids. Instead, we decided to make a perfectly adequate and sensibly priced belt suitable for the sort of stuff the majority of military users need their belt for. The awesome thing about this belt is how ”good enough” it is, in the best sense of the expression. The body of the belt is made from three layers of webbing, bartacked together to form PALS compatible channels for pouch attachment. The middle layer is extra thick and stiff stuff, giving the belt the rigidity needed to carry a pistol holster etc. Note that this is not a stiff-as-steel competition shooters belts, nor intended to be one. The construction is sturdy, but still somewhat pliable. Although fully useable stand-alone, we recommend adding a suitable belt pad and/or harness when carrying heavier loads. Adjustments are done using the buckle, with no hook-and-loop involved. The belt comes standard with a 2M FDR buckle. This is a good quality PA 6 plastic SR buckle, contoured to work nicely on a belt and truly good enough for most users. The buckle is very easy to replace with an AustriAlpin Cobra or such if you want to. The adjustable webbing ends have pieces of One-Wrap to roll and secure them. If you truly hate using One-Wrap you can just use tape or get some of our elastic strap keepers instead. PS: comes with a ~40 cm long piece of elastic cord, used to secure the bundled up belt and attach the product tag. Don’t throw this away, use it to craft something clever, such as elastic attachment loops for a harness! Sizing - Each size offers 30 cm (12”) of quick adjustment to accommodate various layers of thick cold weather clothing and belt pads of varying thickness. The sizes overlap a bit and are based on the assumption that most people will be using some sort of belt pad, which eats up a bit of the belt length compared to wearing it directly on your body.
