Arjun (Dev Patel) works as a waiter at the Taj Mahal Palace hotel where guests take precedence over all else. On this particular day the hotel is stormed by four armed terrorists who open fire with reckless abandon and Arjun and his colleagues, including Chef Oberoi (Anupam Kher), must use their knowledge of the building to do all they can to protect the guests.
