In 'The Rival Mashers' (1914), our hero must deal with a rival who is getting in the way of him impressing a girl. In 'A Night Out' (1915), Chaplin and his friend Ben cause trouble in a fancy restaurant after a night in the pub, and later that night he gets caught with the head waiter's wife. In 'Cruel Cruel Love' (1914), Chaplin plays Lord Helpus, a rich lord devastated by unrequited love. In 'A Film Johnny' (1914), Chaplin goes to the cinema and falls in love with the actress on screen.
