Spirous äventyr var en av de stora seriealbumssuccéerna under sjuttio- och åttiotalen. Med sina dynamiska teckningar och äventyr bildade serien, främst under tecknaren Franquins penna, skola för ett stort antal senare fransk-belgiska serier. Efterföljarna Tome och Janrys moderna teckningsstil tilltalar såväl unga som äldre läsare och just denna tidigare svårfunna utgåva är efterlängtad av serieälskare över hela landet. Seriens styrka ligger i en den väl avvägda kombinationen av äventyr och humor, vilket bäddar för en fascinerande läsupplevelse.

Svartkonst och Champinjoner, Uppgörelse i Chinatown och Drömfabriken blev de sista albumen som skrevs av Tome och tecknades av Janry. I det fylliga bakgrundsmaterialet kan du läsa om skaparduons sista år med Spirou. Helt kom de dock inte undan, och en kort extra historia återfinns i slutet av boken.
