Koydervelsh

"Koydervelsh" betyder ungefär rappakalja och är resultatet av olika texter och noveller av professor Ber Kotlerman som nu kokats ned till en roman. Boken hamnar stilmässigt inom det groteska, men är i grund och botten en varm och tankeväckande skildring av Kotlermans jiddishland. Bittra men ändå varma berättelser om judiskt liv i djupet av det ryska österlandet. Vi färdas över generationer och i stort och smått, ofta med drypande underfundighet, ironi och humor. Ber Kotlerman är en av de moderna jiddischförfattarnas allra vassaste pennor. Född i Birobidzhan och numera bosatt i Israel där han verkar som professor i litteratur och jiddisch vid Bar-Ilan universitet.
