The Anna Magdalena Bach Book of 1725
In 1725 Johann Sebastian Bach wrote two keyboard suites for his wife Anna Magdalena, whom he married in 1721. These became the first entries in a book in which, over the next twenty years, were gathered together both keyboard pieces and vocal works by Johann Sebastian and his two sons Carl Philipp Emanuel and Johann Christian as well as such composers as Couperin, Böhm, Petzold and Hasse. The album is grouped in three sets of six each: the first comes from the Wilhelm Friedemann Bach Notebook, compiled by Johann Sebastian for his eldest son; the second, which has been preserved in copies made by his pupils, was probably composed by Johann Sebastian; and the third comes from the collection of Johann Peter Kellner, of which only Nos. 5 and 6 are known to be written by Johann Sebastian.

Six English Suites
New 2017 printing, these six English Suites from 1715 are thought to have been written while Bach was living in Weimar. Each suite begins with a Prelude, a departure from the traditional suite progression, followed by an Allemande, Courante, Sarabande, Bourr e or Gavotte or Menuet and all ending with a Gigue. Four of the six suites are in minor keys. Any reviews on Amazon before January 2017 are not associated with this book.
