Bättre Än Vi Trodde - Att Förvandlas Som Människa Och Kyrka
Vad får en församling inom Svenska kyrkan att växa så mycket i 2000-talets Sverige att man behöver bygga en ny, större kyrka? Svaret stavas Gud, Alpha och en stor grupp hängivna medarbetare och ideella som under ledning av bland andra prästen Gita Andersson förvandlade Kummelby kyrka till en plats dit människor drogs och kände sig hemma. I Bättre än vi trodde skriver Gita Andersson både om sin egen livsresa som andlig sökare inom New Age-rörelsen och de gudsmöten som ledde till att hon så småningom blev präst. Och om Kummelby kyrkas resa som bland annat innebar att man ökade antalet frivilliga församlingsarbetare på tio år, från trettio till etthundratrettio och fick dubblera söndagsgudstjänsterna. En unik församlingstillväxt i Svenska kyrkan i vår tid. Sollentuna församling, där Kummelby kyrka är ett distrikt, var en av de första kyrkorna i Sverige som testade Alpha-konceptet, som bygger på mat, föredrag och samtal. De som bjöds in fick kunskap om trons kärna, om Jesus och den helige Ande. Och många Alpha-deltagare blev kvar i församlingsgemenskapen efter kursen och en hel del blev själva Alpha-ledare. Så småningom fick Kummelby kyrka ansvar för att sprida Alpha vidare i hela Sverige. I dag är Gita Andersson pensionär och kan summera den fantastiska resa som de gjort tillsammans i Kummelby kyrka. Jag hoppas att många ska inspireras av hur vi arbetade , skriver författaren.
