Boken beskriver vilket beviskrav som gäller i vilken situation. Både välkända beviskrav som t.ex. ställt utom rimligt tvivel beskrivs tillsammans med mindre kända, som t.ex. hög grad sannolikt (beviskrav för orsakssamband vid underlåtenhetsbrott). Även för civilrätten finns det beskrivet många olika situationer och beviskrav, t.ex. vad som gäller för olika beviskrav i ett mål om skadestånd. Men även ovanligare spörsmål behandlas, t.ex. beviskravet för domstolens behörighet vid yrkande om interimistisk kvarstad. Boken innehåller även ett avsnitt om generella bevisregler som behandlar frågeställningar som t.ex. bevisprovokation, skriftlig bevisning och avtal om bevisbörda. Avslutningsvis beskrivs de olika beviskraven och hur de förhåller sig till varandra. Denna bok riktar sig till alla domstolsjurister, oavsett om man uppträder som advokat, domare eller åklagare. Mikael Kullberg är ämnesråd i Justitiedepartementet och arbetar där huvudsakligen med straffprocessrätt. Han är domarutbildad och har även varit advokat och då arbetat med affärsjuridik. Han har deltagit i flera statliga utredningar, både som expert och som sekreterare.
