Spisak koji je ostavio za sobom imao je samo jednu stavku. Ili je makar isprva imao samo tu jednu... Mejbelin muz Artur voleo je spiskove. Svuda joj ih je ostavljao. 'Upamti: jaja, maslac, secer.' 'Volim te - danas, sutra, uvek.' A sad Artura vise nema. Umro je - tiho, mirno i nenametljivo. Ali ipak joj je ostavio jos jedan spisak, i to sa samo jednom stavkom: 'Nađi D'. Mejbel je ubeđena da zna sta to znači. Mora da uđe u trag svojoj najboljoj drugarici Dot, koju nije videla jos od onog sudbonosnog dana kad je ova otisla pre vise od sezdeset godina. Reklo bi se da je to nemoguce. Mejbel ne zna čak ni da li je Dot jos ziva. Pored toga, izgleda da svakome kome to pomene prvo treba pomoci da se pomiri s muzem, cerkom, roditeljima. Njen spisak samo postaje sve duzi, a čini joj se da potraga za Dot tapka u mestu. Ali Mejbel ne zna da je taj spisak mnogo vise od nalazenja stare prijateljice.
